4/18/2017: An Evening Lecture at the Gardiner Museum (Toronto)

April 1, 2017 SAPAAC Stanford

Origins and Traces of the Indian Subcontinent: The Anne Romo Gross Collection

THE ANN WALKER BELL LECTURE TUESDAY APRIL 18, 6:30 - 8 PM • $15 GENERAL / $10 SAPAAC MEMBERS

Speaker: Daniel Chen Adjunct Curator, Gardiner Museum

This lecture brings to life the spectacular collection of Chinese porcelain gifted to the Museum by Janice Gross Stein and Susan Gross Soloman, in memory of their mother Anne Romo Gross. This collection offers a fascinating glimpse into the cultural significance of Chinese porcelain in 19th-century India, and the various owners who left their marks of connoisseurship.
